The chemical and physical analysis serves to establish the art and concentration of the contents found in water, wastewater, soil, foodstuffs etc.

of ongoing assessment important in the case for example of mineral-oil pollution.
The sum of Hydrocarbons can be determined under DIN (H18).
The disadvantage of
this summation of Hydrocarbon determination is that it cannot distinguish between the biological parts of the sample and the anthropological contamination through mineral oil products.
Because natural Hydrocarbons are therewith reported and expelled as mineral oil Hydrocarbons, then the diversified
GC/FID method of analysis would be recommended.
Through this, costly sanitation measures are often unnecessary.
Considerable cost-savings are made possible.
