Biotoxicity Tests:

The Biology proves the toxicity, where the Chemistry only delivers the clues. Chemical analysis does not principally deliver a statement of the biological effects of pollutants. The most sensitive chemical proof of single substances also only ever shows a small slice of reality.

Every chemical method only ever proves the substance after it is explicitly searched for. The total effect of all the contents (combination effect, metabolites) remain unknown. In answer to this challenge LAFU GmbH have established biological test processes some years ago. Research projects and examinations would for example use florescent bacterial tests in the following areas: water used to extinguish fires, waste-water, in and out flow from slurry treatment, surface-water, chemical and biological colours., cotton-wool, soil and tensides among others.
